If You Have To State It Then You Probably Aint It

state it aint itWe have all been one, will probably be one again at some point, and we have definitely known one. And to most people, the bragger is simply annoying. Especially the extremely exaggerated bragger.

The extremely exaggerated bragger claims life is wonderful at all times. They maintain a very superficial front. They claim they have a ton of money. They speak of lavish things. They talk far more than they listen.

What they do not realize, is people already know the truth. A logical person realizes that people who claim to have the most, often have the least. Now, sometimes they really do have all the things that they say they do, however they may also have a lot of debt. Not only that, but because they are so fixated on material things and personal rewards, they really have nothing in the grand scheme of things. Emotionally, they are empty. There too, they are bankrupt.

Think deep about this quote…

Actions speak.

So stop and think!

If you have to state it,

then you probably ain’t it!

Next time you want to say it….

Remind yourself that your actions already have.

Our actions speak louder than any words we could ever shout.

Uneducated Enthusiasm

“Deception has many forms. Just because it appears to be right,  doesn’t mean that it is not wrong.

We are all guilty at some point of becoming overly excited about something or someone when we have not obtained all of the facts. From jobs to relationships or anything new, we get excited.

When we encounter new people or situations in our life, it may appear to be total perfection. Perhaps it all seems to fit so well. It may seem to be exactly what we have waited for or what we need at the time.

When we get excited like that it is time to search for the facts, and just slow down the pace. If we do not, we are merely suffering from uneducated enthusiasm.

We can not rush into decisions because when we do, we are often headed for a disaster. It is far more important to make decisions slowly and with wisdom, than to do it in a rush and have the relationship or situation end in total disgust.

Joy

There is one thing a person must acquire in order to live a balanced and happy life. That one thing, is joy.

Do you have joy in your life or is it the missing link?

It does not matter much where you live, where you work, what you drive, or where you dine. It does not matter who your friends are, or what their social status is. If joy is not present, misery often is instead.

True joy can be experienced in trailer parks and in mansions. It is found on beaches and in mountains. It is seen in extremely cold climates, and can still be found in the desert heat. Everyone experiences it differently, but it is up to us to find it for ourselves.

People find joy in many ways. But once they truly find it….. it stays.

Bridges Crossed – Bridges Burned

Some bridges are there for the view and others are meant to be crossed. No bridges should ever be burned. Burning them prevents us from crossing them again someday, and we never know when that time will come.

Instead of burning them, build beside the old bridge and create a new way. The other bridge can be the blueprint for building the new bridge. Not to mention, by leaving the old bridge in place it is easier to see how far you have come.

Build them, instead of burning them. It not only looks better, but feels better too.

Are You Embracing Life’s Storms?

I was out storm chasing a few months ago and I captured a beautiful photo, as well as some insight to share with it.

We can’t let the storms of life zap us. When lightning crashes it brings light. When rain pours it allows nourishment for more growth. When the wind blows strong, it is to see how well we are planted.

There really is beauty in all those storms. There’s no need to be afraid. These storms only come to promote necessary changes. Embrace it, and welcome it. The sun will be shining brighter than ever before when it finally passes!
